Tokayev meets with Israel’s Foreign Minister

Tengrinews.kz – The President of Kazakhstan has received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel, Akorda reports.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that the visit of Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar confirms Israel’s firm commitment to strengthening comprehensive cooperation with Kazakhstan.

“Particular attention at the meeting was paid to intensifying trade, economic, and scientific-technical cooperation, as well as implementing joint projects in the fields of artificial intelligence, agriculture, and water resource management. The President welcomed the holding of a Kazakh–Israeli business forum in Astana as part of Gideon Sa’ar’s visit, the results of which are expected to make a practical contribution to expanding the investment partnership between the two countries,” Akorda’s press service stated.

For his part, the Foreign Minister emphasized that Israel is interested in giving a strong impetus to the development of interstate relations with Kazakhstan in order to bring them to a qualitatively new level.

“Gideon Sa’ar expressed appreciation for President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s far-sighted decision for Kazakhstan to join the Abraham Accords, which contribute to further strengthening stability, peace, and international dialogue. The Israeli Foreign Minister also highly praised the large-scale political and socio-economic reforms under way in Kazakhstan, expressing confidence in their successful implementation,” the Akorda statement says.

During the conversation, the parties also exchanged views on pressing issues on the international agenda.
