Tengrinews.kz – The Head of State met with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Chevron Corporation, Michael Wirth.
During the meeting, the current state and future prospects of strategic cooperation were discussed.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized Chevron’s key role in the sustainable development of Kazakhstan’s energy sector and congratulated Michael Wirth on the successful completion of the Tengiz field expansion project.
Special attention was given to the continued implementation of major investment projects, including gas production and petrochemical development.
The President highlighted the importance of increasing the involvement of domestic companies in the oil and gas sector and expressed readiness to deepen cooperation with Chevron on a mutually beneficial and long-term basis.

According to Michael Wirth, Kazakhstan remains a strategic and reliable partner for Chevron. He noted that from 1993 to 2024, the Tengizchevroil joint venture made significant investments in the country’s economy.
It is worth noting that Michael Wirth, Chairman of Chevron Corporation, previously visited Kazakhstan and met with President Tokayev in 2022.
