Tengrinews.kz - President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Hüseyin Arslan, Chairman of the Board of YDA Holding, during his visit to Turkey, citing Akorda.

Tokayev was briefed on YDA Holding’s investment activities in Kazakhstan. The diversified Turkish group is currently working on three projects involving the construction and operation of multidisciplinary hospitals in Turkestan, Astana, and Petropavlovsk.

“The company also plans to soon begin expanding its multidisciplinary YDA Industrial Park and start construction of a sandwich panel production plant in Astana,” the statement said.

Hüseyin Arslan also informed the President about plans to establish a multimodal transit hub in Aktau.

President Tokayev praised the holding’s strategic interest in Kazakhstan and the investment initiatives it is carrying out in the country.

Tokayev also met with Hüseyin Barlin, Chairman of the Board of S Sistem Lojistik. During the meeting, they discussed prospects for establishing a mutually beneficial and long-term partnership in the logistics sector.

“The President noted that work has begun on the comprehensive development of the Middle Corridor to transform Kazakhstan into a key transit hub in Eurasia. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also supported S Sistem Lojistik’s initiative to build a logistics center at Aktobe International Airport. The project is being implemented in cooperation with QazPost,” the statement added.

Hüseyin Barlin shared details on the project, stating that the company plans to expand its business operations in Astana, Almaty, Shymkent, and Aktau in the future.

The President emphasized the importance of developing comprehensive logistics infrastructure to reduce transit times and enhance export capacity.

Tokayev arrived in Ankara on Monday, July 28, for an official visit. At Ankara Esenboga Airport, he was received by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Erdoğan rarely welcomes foreign heads of state personally at the airport—such a gesture is usually reserved for leaders of particularly friendly nations.

On July 29, the two presidents will hold talks aimed at further strengthening the enhanced strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Turkey.
