Tengrinews.kz – President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev laid a wreath at the Monument of Neutrality in Ashgabat.
It is reported that as part of the events of the forum dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, together with the leaders of other states, took part in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Monument of Neutrality, which symbolizes Turkmenistan’s commitment to the ideals of peace and constructive development.
Earlier, on the evening of December 11, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the forum dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust. He was welcomed at the airport by the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
Later, the Head of State held a meeting with President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated his counterpart and the fraternal Turkmen people on the significant occasion of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality. In this context, the President of Kazakhstan emphasized the relevance of the agenda of the upcoming International Forum dedicated to this anniversary.
