Tengrinews.kz - The Head of State received the Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, according to a statement from Akorda.

Welcoming Badr Al Busaidi, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev called Oman a reliable and proven partner of Kazakhstan and expressed his commitment to further developing cooperation between the countries.

The President noted that there is significant untapped potential for strengthening cooperation between Kazakhstan and Oman both at the bilateral level and in the context of the regional and international agenda.

Taking this opportunity, the Head of State conveyed his greetings to Sultan Haitham bin Tariq and confirmed the invitation to him to visit Kazakhstan.

"Oman is highly respected in Kazakhstan. Your country is of great interest to our citizens, including businessmen and cultural figures. Therefore, we need to give a powerful impetus to make our cooperation more multifaceted and fruitful," Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.

The head of the Omani Foreign Ministry thanked the President for the warm welcome, emphasizing that it reflects the high level of mutual respect between the countries.

"We are watching the development of Kazakhstan with great interest. We are deeply impressed by the large-scale reforms aimed at the benefit of the country and the people. We are amazed by the growth rate of the economy of Kazakhstan, its significant place in this region of the world, and the key role that the country plays in strengthening good-neighborly ties for the sake of peace and security. We highly appreciate your foreign policy, aimed at establishing justice and promoting universal peace, security, and prosperity," the diplomat noted.

During the meeting, the prospects for cooperation in the transport and logistics, agricultural and cultural-humanitarian spheres, as well as in the field of digitalization were discussed. The issues of establishing direct air service between the two states were discussed, which will contribute to strengthening mutual ties.

In addition, the interlocutors exchanged views on topical issues of regional security and interaction within the framework of multilateral organizations.

Earlier, Tokayev received the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Head of the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymaliyev.
