At the initiative of the European side, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev had a telephone conversation with the President of the European Council Antonio Costa.
During the conversation, current issues and prospects for strengthening cooperation between Kazakhstan and the European Union were discussed. The President of Kazakhstan noted the positive dynamics of the development of relations with the EU, including within the framework of the Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement, emphasizing the importance of deepening ties in the areas of trade, investment, energy, transport and logistics, sustainable development and digital transformation.
The interlocutors confirmed their readiness for further dialogue and practical cooperation on a wide range of bilateral and regional agendas.
At the end of the conversation, the Head of State invited Antonio Costa to visit Kazakhstan.
