Tengrinews.kz - President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev chaired a meeting on the national economy and budget planning, citing Akorda.
Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, Presidential Administration Chief Aibek Dadebay, National Bank Chairman Timur Suleimenov, Chairman of the Supreme Audit Chamber Alikhan Smailov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin, and other officials took part in the session.
Reports were presented on the current state and outlook of the national economy, as well as the parameters of the national budget for 2026–2028.
During the discussion, the Head of State stressed the importance of effective financial planning and allocation at both the national and regional levels.
“Particular attention must be paid to ensuring a balanced budget, financing all social commitments and long-term regional programs, as well as the proper and targeted use of allocated funds,” Tokayev emphasized, according to Akorda.
It was earlier reported that on August 22, President Tokayev will pay an official visit to Kyrgyzstan at the invitation of its leadership.
“In Bishkek, talks will be held between the heads of state aimed at further strengthening Kazakh-Kyrgyz strategic partnership and alliance,” the statement reads.
The presidents will also take part in a meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
