Tengrinews.kz - President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with the CEO of Abu Dhabi Ports Group Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, according to Akorda.
It is noted that the meeting was devoted to discussing the prospects for bilateral cooperation, as well as the implementation of previously reached agreements in the transport and logistics industry.
The President of Kazakhstan welcomed Abu Dhabi Ports' plans to build a number of large facilities, emphasizing that these initiatives are in line with Kazakhstan's strategic interests in developing maritime and port infrastructure on the Caspian Sea.

"The Head of State emphasized that the development of transport infrastructure and transit corridors is of great importance for ensuring sustainable economic growth in the country and enhancing international trade," reported Akorda press service.
Mohamed Al Shamisi thanked Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for his continued support in the implementation of joint investment projects. He also informed the President about mutually beneficial cooperation with the Samruk-Kazyna Fund and the national company Kazakhstan Temir Zholy.
Following the meeting, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi expressed confidence in the successful implementation of joint projects.
Earlier, Tokayev held meetings with Masdar CEO Mohamed Al Ramahi and ADNOC Downstream Executive Director Khaled Salmeen.
Tokayev arrived in the UAE on January 13 for a working visit.
He was welcomed at Abu Dhabi airport by UAE Vice President Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and other officials. During his visit, Tokayev held a meeting with UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at the Qasr Al Shatie Palace. Tokayev emphasized that the UAE remains a key partner for Kazakhstan in the Arab world.
During his speech at the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week summit, Tokayev unveiled an ambitious strategy focused on sustainable development.
