Tokayev gave instructions to new Foreign Minister Kosherbayev

Tengrinews.kz – President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with newly appointed Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev, according to the press service of Akorda.

During the meeting, Tokayev gave specific instructions aimed at further strengthening Kazakhstan’s balanced foreign policy, actively promoting national interests on the international stage, enhancing economic diplomacy, and boosting investment cooperation.

The head of state also emphasized the need to intensify multilateral engagement and improve the protection of the rights and interests of Kazakh citizens abroad.

As a reminder, on September 25, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev carried out a number of government reshuffles. Former Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu has become the President’s aide for international investment and trade cooperation. He was replaced by former Deputy Prime Minister Yermek Kosherbayev as the new head of the Foreign Ministry.
