Tengrinews.kz - Azamat Yeskaraev has been dismissed from the post of Minister of Justice, according to Akorda's press service.
"By the decree of the Head of State, Azamat Nesipbayevich Yeskaraev has been dismissed from the post of Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan," the statement said.
Azamat Yeskaraev is a graduate of the Kazakh National Law Academy.
He began his career in 2000 as a specialist in the Ministry of Justice. He worked in this department in various positions until 2005, after which he became the chief inspector of the Akim of Almaty. From 2006 to 2007, he worked in the legal service department of the Sustainable Development Fund “Kazyna,” after which he returned to the Ministry of Justice.
From 2012 to 2014, he held the position of head of the organizational and control department of the inspection of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Combating Economic and Corruption Crime. From 2014 to 2019, he was deputy head of the legal department of the Prime Minister's Office. From 2019 to January 2023, he headed this department.
On January 4, 2023, by decree of the President, Azamat Yeskarayev was appointed Minister of Justice.
Earlier, President Tokayev spoke about accelerating the decision-making process regarding the construction of nuclear power plants.
