"First of all, I would like to emphasize that we are fully committed to regional policy and close cooperation with all our neighboring countries in Central Asia. The broader our cooperation, the better it is for the interests of Kazakhstan and other Central Asian countries. The current situation is significantly different from what it was, say, 10 years ago. Now we are developing active cooperation and establishing multifaceted ties across a wide range of issues. The leaders of Central Asian states regularly hold meetings to ensure they are on the same page. These meetings are very productive. So my answer is quite clear," said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The President noted that Kazakhstan's political principles aim to strengthen strategic balance.

"I believe that Central Asia is becoming increasingly noticeable on the world map. I hope my colleagues in Central Asia agree with this. We will do everything possible to strengthen the potential of this very important region," he added.

Speaking about the UN, the President of Kazakhstan stated his firm belief that the organization needs strengthening, "because it is irreplaceable."

"Despite its shortcomings, we have no alternative to the UN. Therefore, Kazakhstan intends to continue cooperating with countries that support strengthening the organization. The voices of regional and middle powers must be heard, especially in the Security Council, which requires reform due to its current deadlock. We must support the UN as it approaches its 80th anniversary," said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Additionally, the President of Kazakhstan expressed his views on resolving the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. He noted that the desire for peace through constructive negotiations is not a sign of weakness but a show of strategic prudence.

According to Tokayev, global problems affect everyone and require the search for collective, joint responses.

The President has received proposals for Kazakhstan to join BRICS.
