Tengrnews.kz — President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Aryeh Lightstone, Senior Advisor to the Peace Council.
Tokayev noted the significance of Kazakhstan's participation in the Peace Council and emphasized the country's commitment to building fruitful cooperation within the organization.
"As one of the co-founders of the Peace Council, we are convinced that this institution will effectively contribute to strengthening global peace and security," the President stated.
During the meeting, the parties discussed Kazakhstan's initiatives aimed at stabilizing the situation in the Gaza Strip, which include participation in social infrastructure reconstruction projects, as well as education, healthcare, and food security initiatives.
Aryeh Lightstone congratulated the President and the people of Kazakhstan on State Symbols Day, wishing the country peace and prosperity. He also conveyed warm greetings to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev from U.S. President Donald Trump.
The Peace Council representative spoke highly of Kazakhstan's active participation in the organization and other international initiatives, including the decision to join the Abraham Accords.
The interlocutors discussed prospects for cooperation in the transport and logistics sector, including the TRIPP initiative and collaboration within the Middle Corridor. They emphasized Kazakhstan's interest in strengthening interregional connectivity and diversifying international transport routes.
Following the meeting, both parties confirmed their mutual readiness to further deepen cooperation across a wide range of bilateral and multilateral agenda items.
As a reminder: in January, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed the charter of the Peace Council, established at the initiative of U.S. President Donald Trump.
In February, at the inaugural meeting of the Peace Council, Trump expressed sincere gratitude to all participants for their contribution to collective efforts to ensure sustainable stability and promote recovery in Gaza. While introducing the leaders of the Peace Council member countries, Trump called Kazakhstan a beautiful and wealthy country.
