"President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated Shavkat Rakhmonov on his UFC victory over Irish fighter Ian Garry. The head of state wished the Kazakh athlete continued success in his professional sports career," the statement said.
Kazakh mixed martial artist Shavkat Rakhmonov secured a victory in a contender fight against Ireland's Ian Machado Garry.
The co-main event of UFC 310 took place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The 30-year-old Kazakh fighter claimed his 19th career win, handing his opponent the first loss of his career.
