Tengrinews.kz – Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a telephone conversation with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, according to Akorda.
President Tokayev warmly congratulated the President of Uzbekistan on his birthday and wished him continued success in his responsible state activities for the benefit of the brotherly Uzbek people.
The Head of State emphasized that under the respected leadership of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Uzbekistan has been demonstrating dynamic development, including in the socio-economic sphere.
During the conversation, it was noted that Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are bound by strategic, allied relations based on trust, good neighborliness, and mutual support. Trade and economic ties, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, and scientific and educational exchanges are actively developing.
“As Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized, the level of interaction between our states largely determines the sustainable development of the entire Central Asian region. In this regard, the parties are taking steps to advance several joint projects in industry, energy, transport, logistics, and agriculture,” Akorda’s press service noted.
The interlocutors also exchanged views on pressing issues of regional cooperation and discussed the schedule of upcoming high-level meetings, both bilaterally and within the framework of international events.
