Tengrinews.kz — President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has congratulated King Willem-Alexander on the national holiday of the Netherlands, citing Akorda.
In his congratulatory message on the occasion of King’s Day in the Netherlands, the President of Kazakhstan expressed confidence that the enduring values of national unity and solidarity embodied by this holiday would continue to guide the kingdom along the path of progress and prosperity.
“Kazakhstan is the homeland of the tulip — the national flower of your country, inseparably linked with Dutch art and culture, and today it has become a beautiful symbol of friendship between our peoples. We highly value our time-tested relations with the Netherlands and remain committed to further strengthening Kazakh-Dutch partnership in various fields for the benefit of our nations,” the President of Kazakhstan wrote.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev wished Willem-Alexander continued success in his noble endeavors, and wished happiness and well-being to members of the royal family and to all the people of the Netherlands.
It is worth noting that in May 2024, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting in Astana with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte. At that time, the interlocutors discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in the political, economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
Mark Rutte highly praised the level of bilateral partnership. He also spoke in favor of intensifying practical cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Netherlands. During the talks, the sides thoroughly discussed ways to strengthen trade, economic, energy, and investment cooperation, as well as contacts in transport, innovation, nuclear energy, agriculture, healthcare, climate, and water resource management.
