Tengrinews.kz - The Head of State held a meeting with Prime Minister of Greece Kyriakos Mitsotakis, according to a statement from Akorda.
At the Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
The head of state emphasized that Greece is a reliable partner of Kazakhstan in the European Union, noting that Athens is among the five largest trading partners of Astana among EU countries.

"Kyriakos Mitsotakis noted the enormous potential for strengthening Kazakh-Greek cooperation and expressed readiness to expand interaction across the entire spectrum of the bilateral agenda.
During the meeting, the parties confirmed their commitment to strengthening trade, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian ties, and also emphasized the importance of diversifying mutual trade. An exchange of views took place on energy development and decarbonization of the economy," the Akorda statement said.
The meeting participants agreed to maintain an active political dialogue. The head of the Greek government enthusiastically accepted Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's invitation to visit Kazakhstan.
On November 11, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in Baku on a working visit. During the visit, the President of Kazakhstan held meetings with heads of state, heads of international organizations and representatives of business structures.
Tokayev and Erdogan agreed on mutual support
The Head of State also spoke at the World Leaders Climate Action Summit, which is being held as part of the 29th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. The first to speak after the opening of the plenary session was the President of Kazakhstan.
