Tengrinews.kz - President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev awarded Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov the Order of “Altyn Qyran” (The Order of the Golden Eagle), the highest state decoration of Kazakhstan, citing Akorda.
Speaking at the award ceremony, Tokayev described Japarov as a true leader and an experienced politician guiding the Kyrgyz people toward progress.
“We highly value your tireless efforts for the prosperity of Kyrgyzstan. Thanks to your balanced policies, the country has entered a new stage of development. The Kyrgyz economy is showing strong growth, major projects are being implemented in various sectors, and large-scale reforms are underway in social policy, science, and education. These achievements will undoubtedly strengthen Kyrgyzstan’s economy and raise its profile internationally. Your forward-looking steps have also contributed to peace and stability in the region. I am confident that under your wise leadership, the fraternal Kyrgyz people will reach even greater heights,” Tokayev said.
He stressed that Kazakhstan sincerely welcomes Kyrgyzstan’s progress, noting that the Kazakh and Kyrgyz peoples share common history, destiny, and traditions.
“Our languages, mentality, and way of life are alike. Today, our countries maintain relations built on mutual trust and respect. Allied ties are deepening, and strategic partnership is dynamically developing thanks to your invaluable contribution. Our joint initiatives have given new momentum to Kazakh-Kyrgyz cooperation, reflecting true brotherhood and strengthening our friendship further,” Tokayev added.

Quoting Kyrgyz poet Toktogul Satylganov, Tokayev said: “A worthy man is one who cares for the fate of his people.” He emphasized that Japarov embodies these words through his service to Kyrgyzstan and his role in strengthening friendship between the two nations.
“That is why I decided to award you the highest state decoration of the Republic of Kazakhstan – the Order of Altyn Qyran. This award is a sign of Kazakhstan’s deep respect and sincere gratitude to you and to the entire Kyrgyz people,” Tokayev concluded.

Sadyr Japarov expressed gratitude to Tokayev and the Kazakh people, saying he regarded the award as a mark of special respect for Kyrgyzstan.
He noted that the gesture reflects the high level of strategic partnership and alliance between the two countries and voiced confidence that their time-tested cooperation will continue to strengthen.
Following bilateral talks, Tokayev and Japarov issued a joint statement.

The leaders also signed decisions of the seventh session of the Supreme Interstate Council of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

Members of the two delegations signed a roadmap to increase bilateral trade to three billion dollars by 2030, along with several intergovernmental and interagency agreements.
“Twin nations”: Tokayev and Japarov attend Supreme Interstate Council meeting in Bishkek
On August 22, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Sadyr Japarov took part in the meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. The agenda of the Supreme Interstate Council included cooperation in trade and economy, transport and transit, water and energy, as well as cultural and humanitarian fields.
Prior to the meeting, an official welcoming ceremony for Tokayev was held at the Yntymak Ordo residence in Bishkek.
Tokayev’s official visit to the Kyrgyz Republic began with a visit to the Ata-Beyit National Historical and Memorial Complex.
The Head of State laid flowers at the monument to the victims of the tragic events of 1916, located on the territory of the memorial complex, and honored the memory of the outstanding Kyrgyz writer Chingiz Aitmatov.
