Tengrinews.kz – President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has arrived in Moscow, according to Akorda.
The President of Kazakhstan arrived in Russia on a state visit at the invitation of Vladimir Putin.
At Vnukovo-2 Airport, a company of the Moscow Garrison Honor Guard and a military brass band were lined up to welcome the distinguished guest.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was greeted by Russia’s First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov and other officials.
The national anthems of both countries were performed.
It should be noted that from the moment the aircraft crossed the state border until landing in Moscow, the President of Kazakhstan’s plane was escorted through Russian airspace by Su-35 fighter jets of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
Photos and videos of the escorting military aircraft were earlier published on the President of Kazakhstan’s Telegram channel.
A reminder: on November 11–12, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will be in Moscow on a state visit. He is expected to hold talks with Vladimir Putin and, via video conference, address the plenary session of the 21st Kazakhstan–Russia Interregional Cooperation Forum taking place in Uralsk. A number of important bilateral documents are planned to be signed during the visit.
On October 22, Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Ermek Kosherbayev and Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov discussed Tokayev’s upcoming visit to Russia.
Lavrov noted at the time that preparations for the Kazakh President’s state visit were in full swing.
“This will be an event of truly international importance, and I’m not afraid to say that without exaggeration,” Sergey Lavrov said earlier.
