"I am confident that today's agreements will contribute to strengthening our bilateral relations. We place great importance on our regular high-level meetings, which form the solid foundation of the Kazakh-Armenian partnership. In Kazakhstan, we highly value our friendship with Armenia. There is genuine warmth for the Armenian people in our country. For Kazakhstan, Armenia is a reliable and time-tested close partner. Our nations are united by strong bonds of friendship, shared history, and common cultural and humanitarian values," Tokayev emphasized.

He also noted that this year marks the 25th anniversary of the Treaty on Friendship and Cooperation between Kazakhstan and Armenia, which has established a solid institutional foundation for their relationship.

"Alongside trade and economic cooperation, our cultural and humanitarian ties are actively developing. Last year, we celebrated Kazakh Theater Days in Yerevan. Next year, we plan to organize a Decade of Kazakh Culture in your country. Today, we will ceremonially open Armenian Culture Days in Kazakhstan," Tokayev added.

Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan thanked Tokayev for the warm reception and reaffirmed Armenia's commitment to further developing mutually beneficial cooperation with Kazakhstan.

"I am glad to be here. I am impressed by the progress and development happening in Kazakhstan. I am confident that our friendship and relations will endure, as they have deep historical roots. Kazakhstan is a reliable and friendly partner for us, and I want to highlight our successfully developing economic ties," said Khachaturyan.

During the talks, both leaders discussed prospects for enhancing cooperation in trade, transportation, agriculture, finance, culture, and digitalization. They also touched on pressing regional and international issues.

Tokayev reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s readiness to continue providing a platform in Almaty for peace negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

Earlier this year, during his visit to Yerevan, Tokayev urged for the swift resolution of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, emphasizing the importance of stability and security in the South Caucasus. He commended the steps taken by both countries towards reaching a peace agreement.
