Tengrinews.kz – Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has appointed new ambassadors of Kazakhstan, according to Akorda.
Kairat Abdrakhmanov has been appointed Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Czech Republic. He has been relieved of his positions as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of the Netherlands and Permanent Representative of Kazakhstan to the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) concurrently.
Former Kazakh Foreign Minister Kairat Abdrakhmanov was appointed Ambassador to the Netherlands and Permanent Representative to the OPCW in September 2024.
Akan Rakhmetullin has been appointed Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of the Netherlands and Permanent Representative of Kazakhstan to the OPCW concurrently.
In October 2025, Akan Rakhmetullin was relieved of his post as First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.
Roman Vassilenko, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of Belgium, Head of the Mission of Kazakhstan to the European Union and NATO, has been appointed Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg concurrently.
In July 2025, by decree of the Head of State, Roman Vassilenko was appointed Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Belgium and Head of Kazakhstan’s Missions to the EU and NATO.
“By decree of the Head of State, Bakyt Dyussenbayev has been relieved of his duties as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Czech Republic,” Akorda’s press service noted.
