Tengrinews.kz – During the meeting in the Oval Office, a joint phone call took place between the Presidents of Kazakhstan and the United States, and Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. This was reported by the press service of Akorda.
The main topic of the conversation was the intention of the Republic of Kazakhstan to join the Abraham Accords.
“The Head of our state emphasized that U.S. President Donald Trump has achieved remarkable results that many considered unattainable, creating real conditions for establishing lasting peace in the Middle East. By joining the Abraham Accords, Kazakhstan seeks to contribute to overcoming confrontation, promoting dialogue, and supporting international law based on the UN Charter,” the Akorda statement said.
It is noted that Kazakhstan’s decision does not affect the country’s bilateral commitments with any state and represents a natural continuation of its multi-vector diplomacy aimed at promoting peace and security.

According to Akorda, U.S. President Donald Trump highly praised Kazakhstan’s decision to join the Abraham Accords, saying it will inspire other countries to support the initiative.
“This is an important step forward in building bridges around the world. Today more and more countries are ready to choose the path of peace and prosperity through my Abraham Accords,” Donald Trump said following the call.
The Abraham Accords are aimed at economic cooperation and normalization of relations between Muslim-majority countries and Israel.
As part of this agreement, signed in 2020 and 2021 during Trump’s first term, four Muslim-majority countries (the UAE, Morocco, Bahrain, and Sudan) agreed to normalize diplomatic relations with Israel following U.S. mediation.
Experts previously noted that Kazakhstan already recognizes Israel as a state, maintains diplomatic relations, and hosts an Israeli embassy.
Political analyst Zamir Karazhanov explained that Trump is interested in expanding this political process to new countries and deepening their relations with Israel. According to the expert, such a model of foreign relations allows third countries to use the special ties between Washington and Jerusalem to advance their interests in U.S. politics — for example, by participating in discussions of new agreements that would take into account the interests of invited states.
As a reminder, during talks at the White House, the presidents of Kazakhstan and the U.S. also agreed on over $17 billion worth of deals and on expanding the strategic partnership in multiple areas.
