A roadmap was signed to implement the agreements reached between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

In Astana, in the presence of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a ceremony was held to sign the roadmap on trade and economic cooperation.

The signing of the roadmap became a practical continuation of the agreements reached during the state visit of the President of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan on November 14–15, 2025.

The new projects included in the document cover industry, petrochemicals, logistics, metallurgy, the agro-industrial complex, tourism and green energy.

On May 29, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev spoke at a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Astana. The event was also attended by the heads of EAEU member states.

In his speech, the President of Kazakhstan addressed EAEU countries, noting that the long-term sustainability of national economies and their place in the future world order directly depend on the speed of adaptation to new technological challenges.
