Tokayev and Armenian President visited AIFC in Astana

Tengrinews.kz – Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan toured the Astana International Financial Center (AIFC).
Renat Bekturov, Head of the AIFC, told the presidents about the main activities of the financial center and its contribution to the development of regional initiatives.
According to him, the AIFC has attracted over $13 billion in investments into the economy of Kazakhstan, including $5.9 billion in portfolio investments on the AIX exchange and $7.3 billion from member companies. Now, about 3,200 companies from over 80 countries work here, including six large Armenian companies in IT, communications, financial services, and insurance.
“The presidents were familiarized with the features of the AIFC judicial system and the activities of the court and the International Arbitration Centre. They were also told about the work of the AIFC Astana Financial Services Authority,” notes the Akorda press service.
