Gradual warming and temperature shifts in April
April will continue the gradual accumulation of warmth across the country. Based on long-term data, in northern regions, the average daily temperature will rise above 0°C in the first ten days of the month, while in the south, it will exceed +10°C.
Precipitation and weather conditions in early April
In the first decade of April, nighttime precipitation is expected in northern Kazakhstan, with rain possibly turning into snow, along with icy conditions. Daytime rain showers are forecast, while thunderstorms will occur in the south. Strong winds reaching 15-20 m/s will be observed across the country, with fog likely in the morning and night hours.
Temperature fluctuations by region
Kazakhstan will experience notable temperature variations in April:
- Western regions: Nighttime temperatures will range from +8...+13°C to -3...+8°C, while daytime temperatures will fluctuate between +18...+25°C and +11...+16°C. In the southwest, daytime highs could reach +20...+28°C.
- Northwest, north, central, and eastern regions: Nighttime temperatures will vary between -5...+5°C and +3...+8°C, with daytime temperatures ranging from +8...+13°C to +15...+22°C.
- Southern Kazakhstan: Nighttime temperatures will range from +2...+10°C to +10...+15°C, while daytime highs will fluctuate between +18...+25°C and +25...+30°C.
- Southeastern regions: Nighttime temperatures will range from -5...+5°C to +7...+12°C, while daytime temperatures will increase from +12...+20°C to +18...+27°C.
Mid-to-late April weather trends
According to meteorologists, the second decade of April may still bring rain and wet snow in the north, while mostly rain is expected in the third decade.
For most of Kazakhstan, nighttime temperatures will range from +5...+13°C to -3...+5°C, while daytime temperatures will fluctuate between +15...+25°C and +8...+13°C.
In southern and western regions, daytime temperatures will reach +23...+32°C, though occasional cooler days with highs around +10...+18°C are possible.
