Thunderstorms and wind gusts: storm warnings issued in 15 regions of Kazakhstan

High fire danger persists across the region, with extreme fire hazards in the east and south.

Light rain and thunderstorms are forecast for the foothills and mountainous areas of the Almaty region in the afternoon. Winds will shift from southeast to southwest, with gusts of 18 meters per second expected in these areas. High fire danger remains in the north of the region.

Rain and thunderstorms are expected in the western, northern, and eastern Atyrau region during the day. Dust storms are forecast for the west, north, and south. Southwest and west winds of 9-14 meters per second will gust up to 15-20 meters per second in these areas. High fire danger persists across the region, with extreme hazards in the central and northeastern parts.
