Tengrinews.kz — The Ministry of Defense has published the order “On Calling Up Persons Liable for Military Service to Military Training in 2026.”
According to the order, 3,000 reservists will be called up for military training this year.
Oversight of the implementation of the order will be carried out by the leadership of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan.
The order will enter into force on April 19, 2026.
It should be recalled that on March 17, city and district draft commissions chaired by deputy akims began the conscription of Kazakhstanis for compulsory military service. As Almas Isabekov, head of the Organizational and Mobilization Work Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, stated, 21,000 citizens aged 18 to 27 are planned to be drafted into the army by June 30.
