Tengrinews.kz - Two Dutch citizens and one Belgian citizen have been detained at the Baikonur Cosmodrome, according to the Telegram-channel Shot.
According to the source, the Europeans illegally entered the cosmodrome area and managed to reach the assembly and fueling complex.The trespassers were spotted by Russian police patrolling the site.
The Telegram channel provided the names and ages of those possible detained:
- Martin N.V., 25, citizen of the Netherlands;
- Holben L.D., 26, citizen of Belgium;
- Ooms S.N., 29, citizen of the Netherlands.
The detainees had no connection to the cosmodrome and lacked the necessary documents to be on the site. Police are investigating how and why the Europeans entered the cosmodrome.
For now, they face only administrative detention for five days for unauthorized entry into a restricted area.
