“The most respected profession”: Tokayev congratulates doctors on their professional holiday

Tengrinews.kz – On June 18, a solemn event dedicated to Medical Worker’s Day was held at Akorda.

In his speech, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated doctors on their professional holiday.

“Last year, for the first time, we invited medical workers — representatives of one of the noblest professions — to Akorda to pay them due respect. Today, following this good tradition, I am sincerely pleased to welcome you here. Popular wisdom says: ‘Health is the greatest wealth.’ The health of the nation is truly the highest value for our country. Therefore, the development of the medical sector is a strategic task of the state,” the President noted.

He also emphasized that doctors play a special role in society.

“Undoubtedly, the work of every healthcare professional who faithfully serves for the benefit of people deserves universal recognition. Our people respect you as representatives of the most honored profession. Ultimately, medical workers make an immeasurable contribution to strengthening citizens’ health — the greatest wealth of our country,” the Head of State noted.
