Tengrinews.kz - The State Revenue Committee (SRC) has checked the accounts of Kazakhstanis in foreign banks.
According to the agency, more than 2000 citizens of Kazakhstan, information about whom was received from tax authorities of foreign countries, were checked. As a result, 1602 Kazakhstanis paid individual income tax (IIT) in the amount of 5.4 billion tenge.
"The largest amounts of income received, including in the form of dividends and remuneration, come from countries such as the UAE, Great Britain, the People's Republic of China, Turkey and others," the report says.
It is indicated that the competent authorities of the OECD member countries annually exchange data on the accounts of individuals and legal entities, as well as beneficial owners, within the framework of the Common Reporting Standard (CRS).
Earlier, bloggers in Kazakhstan received massive tax notices for debts amounting to billions of tenge. According to the SRC, 594 people understated their income by a total of 53.3 billion tenge.
