Tengrinews.kz – A robbery committed by a previously convicted resident of Atyrau Region against a resident of West Kazakhstan Region was uncovered during operational search activities in West Kazakhstan, according to Polisia.kz.
It was established that in the summer of this year, the suspect, while in the victim’s apartment, threatened her and took possession of an iPhone 15. He then forced the woman to pawn the phone, with all actions carried out under his supervision.
After receiving 500,000 tenge in cash, the suspect fled the scene.
A criminal case has been opened, and the suspect has been detained and placed in a temporary detention facility.
“Preventive and enforcement work related to offenses committed by youth is under special control of the leadership of the WKR Police Department and will continue on an ongoing basis,” the statement said.
