Tengrinews.kz – Kazhydromet has issued storm warnings for most regions of Kazakhstan for Monday, April 14.
Almaty: Heavy rain expected in the morning. Possible thunderstorms, hail, and squalls. Wind from the west, gusting up to 15–20 m/s.
Abai Region: Thunderstorms at night in the west, north, and center; during the day in the north, south, and center, with possible hail. Northeastern wind at 15–20 m/s, gusting to 23–28 m/s in various parts. In Semey, thunderstorms expected during the day with similar wind conditions.
Akmola Region: Heavy precipitation (rain and snow) at night and in the morning in the south and east. Fog expected in the west, north, and east. Wind up to 20 m/s, and frost down to –3°C in the west at night.
Aktobe Region: Nighttime frost of –2°C in the north. In Aktobe, also 0 to –2°C at night.
Almaty Region: Strong rain, thunderstorms, hail, and squalls possible in the south and mountainous areas. Gusts may reach up to 29 m/s. In Konaev, thunderstorms and dust storms expected.
East Kazakhstan Region: Thunderstorms and hail expected during the day. Wind gusts up to 28 m/s. In Ust-Kamenogorsk, thunderstorms and wind up to 23 m/s.
Zhambyl Region: Heavy rain in mountainous areas, thunderstorms, possible hail and fog. Wind gusts up to 28 m/s. In Taraz, thunderstorms possible.
Zhetysu Region: Wind gusts up to 30+ m/s. Thunderstorms, hail, and squalls expected in several parts. In Taldykorgan, thunderstorms with wind up to 20 m/s.
West Kazakhstan Region: Fog expected at night and in the morning in the west and north. In Uralsk, same conditions.
Karaganda Region: Thunderstorms, heavy rain, and hail expected at night in the west and north. Fog across many areas. In Karaganda, thunderstorms and fog expected at night and in the morning.
Kostanay Region: Thunderstorms expected during the day in the west and north. Night frost of –1°C possible in the west.
Mangystau Region: Thunderstorms in the west and south during the day. Fog expected in the center at night and in the morning.
Pavlodar Region: Thunderstorms and heavy rain, hail in multiple areas. In Pavlodar, strong rain, thunderstorms, and hail with wind gusts up to 23 m/s.
North Kazakhstan Region: Wind gusts up to 20 m/s. Night frost of –2°C in the west.
Turkestan Region: Thunderstorms in mountainous areas at night. Gusty winds up to 20 m/s at night.
Ulytau Region: Thunderstorms at night in the north, east, and center. Fog expected in many areas. In Zhezkazgan, thunderstorms and fog at night and in the morning.
