Astana forecast

On August 1, the capital will see partly cloudy skies with occasional showers and thunderstorms. Hail and squally winds are possible during the day. Winds will shift from southwest to northwest at 9–14 m/s, with gusts reaching up to 20 m/s. Temperatures will range from +12 to +14°C at night and +22 to +24°C during the day.

On August 2, cloudy skies with brief clearings are expected, along with intermittent rain and thunderstorms. Fog may form at night and in the early morning. Northerly and northeasterly winds will blow at 9–14 m/s, with daytime gusts up to 20 m/s. Temperatures will range from +13 to +15°C at night and +21 to +23°C during the day.

On August 3, rain and fog are forecast again in the early hours. Northerly and northeasterly winds will continue at 9–14 m/s with gusts up to 20 m/s. Daytime temperatures will cool to +19 to +21°C, with nighttime lows between +11 and +13°C.

Almaty forecast

August 1 in Almaty will bring partly cloudy skies, brief rain, and afternoon thunderstorms. Northwesterly winds will blow at 3–8 m/s, with gusts reaching 18 m/s. Nighttime temperatures will be between +20 and +22°C, with daytime highs of +31 to +33°C.

On August 2, brief showers and thunderstorms will persist. Winds will shift to the southwest at 3–8 m/s, occasionally gusting to 18 m/s. Temperatures will range from +18 to +20°C at night and +27 to +29°C during the day.

On August 3, the weather will remain partly cloudy with short periods of rain. Winds will shift from southwest to northeast at 3–8 m/s, with gusts up to 18 m/s. Temperatures will drop slightly to +16 to +18°C at night and rise to +28 to +30°C during the day.

Earlier, meteorologists warned that a cyclone moving across the country would bring rain, thunderstorms, and even hail to many regions, including the usually hot southern areas where temperatures have recently begun to cool.
