Storm warning issued across Kazakhstan

Akmola Region— Rain and thunderstorms are forecast, with heavy rain expected in the north and east; daytime hail and squalls are also possible. Fog is expected in the west and north during the night and morning. Northerly and north-easterly winds will gust to 15-20 meters per second in the west, north, and east. High fire danger persists in the west of the region. In Kokshetau occasional rain and thunderstorms are expected in the morning and afternoon.
North Kazakhstan Region— Brief rain and thunderstorms are expected in the north, south, and east, with hail possible during the day. Fog is forecast for the west and north during the night and morning. Northerly winds will gust to 15-20 meters per second in the north, south, and east. In Petropavlovsk brief rain and thunderstorms are expected. Northerly winds will reach gusts of 15-20 meters per second during the day.
Kyzylorda Region— Rain and thunderstorms are expected in the south of the region during the day. Extreme fire danger persists throughout the region. Extreme fire danger remains in effect for Kyzylorda.
