Storm warning for Astana

A storm warning has been issued for Astana city and the surrounding areas. Strong winds and glazed frost are expected; snow and freezing rain are also likely, KazHydroMet weather service reports. Other parts of Kazakhstan are also likely to feel the weather cooling and winter returning. Emergencies Department of Eastern-Kazakhstan Oblast warns that avalanches are expected on March 24-26 in mountainous area because of the recent thawing and fluctuations of weather.
