South Korean president invites Tokayev to Seoul

Tengrinews.kz - President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a phone conversation with President of the Republic of Korea, Lee Jae-myung.

During the discussion, both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the multifaceted Kazakh-Korean relationship.

They held a detailed exchange of views on a wide range of bilateral cooperation issues and expressed mutual interest in expanding collaboration in trade, the economy, and cultural and humanitarian areas.

The importance of effectively implementing current and future joint projects in the fields of industry, energy, automotive manufacturing, education, and healthcare was emphasized.

President Lee Jae-myung extended an official invitation to the Head of State to visit the Republic of Korea.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev gratefully accepted the invitation and confirmed his readiness to participate in the upcoming “Central Asia – Republic of Korea” summit to be held in Seoul in 2026.

Earlier, Tokayev congratulated President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and the people of Egypt on their national holiday – Revolution Day.
