Tengrinews.kz – More than 1 300 units of special equipment and over 2 400 road workers went out to clear the streets of the capital from snow during the day shift.

According to the Akimat (the local government administration), due to heavy precipitation, the capital's utility workers are operating around the clock in shifts, clearing the city streets from snow.

"First of all, according to the rules, areas with very heavy traffic are cleared so that there are no traffic jams on the roads. Also, areas with medium intensity are cleared from snow - squares, areas near railway stations, sidewalks, access roads to social facilities, and so on," the report says.
