Tengrinews.kz – On Monday, December 8, forecasters predict fog, icy conditions, and precipitation in the form of rain and snow across most regions of Kazakhstan. Due to this, Kazhydromet has issued storm warnings for several regions and cities.
In the west, south, and central parts of Abai Region, forecasters predict fog.
In the north and east of Aktobe Region, as well as in the city of Aktobe, icy conditions are expected during the day.
In the mountainous areas of Almaty Region, heavy snow is possible in the evening. In the morning and daytime, icy conditions are expected in the mountains. In the north, south, and mountainous areas of the region, forecasters predict fog. Southeastern winds will shift to westerly, and during the day in the east of the region wind gusts will reach 15–20 meters per second.
In Almaty, fog is expected at times.
In the north and east of Atyrau Region, fog is possible.
In the north, south, and central parts of East Kazakhstan Region, forecasters also predict fog.
In the mountainous areas of Zhambyl Region, heavy snow is expected at night, and heavy rain and snow during the day. At night, blowing snow is expected in the mountains. In the south and mountainous areas of the region, icy conditions are possible, with fog at times. Southwesterly winds in the mountainous areas will reach 15–20 meters per second. In Taraz, icy conditions and fog are expected at times.
In the west, north, and south of West Kazakhstan Region, as well as in Uralsk, forecasters predict fog and icy conditions.
In Karaganda Region, snow, blowing snow, and icy conditions are expected. In the north, east, and south of the region, fog is possible. In Karaganda, icy conditions are also expected.
In the north, south, and central parts of Kyzylorda Region, as well as in Kyzylorda, icy conditions and fog are possible.
In the west, northeast, and central areas of Mangystau Region, forecasters predict fog and icy conditions. Eastern winds in the northwest of the region will bring gusts of 15–20 meters per second. In Aktau, icy conditions are expected at night and in the morning.
In Pavlodar Region, as well as in Pavlodar, snow, blizzard conditions, and icy roads are possible. Northeastern winds in the west and north of the region will produce gusts of 15–20 meters per second.
In the south and mountainous areas of Turkestan Region, heavy precipitation in the form of rain and snow is expected during the day. In the north and mountainous areas, icy conditions are expected. In the north, south, central, and mountainous areas of the region, fog is also possible. Southwesterly winds will shift to northwesterly; in the morning and during the day, wind speeds in the mountains will reach 15–20 meters per second. In Shymkent, heavy precipitation—mainly rain—is expected during the day, with fog at times. In Turkistan, fog is also possible at times.
In the north, east, and central parts of Ulytau Region, snow, blowing snow, icy conditions, and fog are expected. In Zhezkazgan, icy conditions are possible at night and in the morning, with fog at times.
In Astana, forecasters predict snow, blizzard conditions, and icy roads.
