Tengrinews.kz - According to QazAvtoZhol, several more highways were closed due to bad weather in Kostanay and North Kazakhstan regions.
On March 13 at 1 PM, traffic restrictions were introduced for freight and public transport on the following sections of the republican highway:
North Kazakhstan region:
Astana – Atbasar – Zhaksy – Ruzayevka – Sarykol – Kostanay – Russian border highway, from the 729th to the 768th kilometer (border of Kostanay region – Toksan village).
Kostanay region:
Astana – Atbasar – Zhaksy – Ruzayevka – Sarykol – Kostanay – Russian border highway, from the 686th to the 729th kilometer (Sarykol village – border of the North Kazakhstan region).
Approximate opening time – March 14 at 6 AM.
Weather conditions have worsened in several regions of the country. Earlier, Kazhydromet issued a warning for residents of Astana, Almaty, and other cities across different regions of the country.
