Tengrinews.kz - On November 21, at 11 a.m, electric sirens, siren-voice devices will be activated throughout Kazakhstan, television and radio channels will be intercepted.
As reported by the Ministry for Emergency Situations, the event is being held to train citizens to correctly respond to the warning signal "Attention everyone!"
"From November 21 to 22, Kazakhstan will host the republican command and staff exercise ‘Kys-2024'. It is aimed at testing the readiness of the governing bodies and forces of the state civil defense system to prevent and eliminate emergency situations in the winter. The exercise is being managed by the republican headquarters located in Kokshetau," the Ministry reported.
The department asked citizens to remain calm and remember that the signal is a training one, and the activation of sirens is part of the planned measures to increase the readiness of the population and services for emergency situations.
Earlier, on the morning of October 17 at 10 AM, the warning systems sounded in Almaty.
