Tengrinews.kz - The Senate has terminated the powers and dismissed Rashid Akhmetov from his position as a member of the Supreme Audit Chamber (SAC).
As noted by Senate Speaker Maulen Ashimbayev, Akhmetov himself submitted a resignation request.
"The Senate received a resignation statement from a member of the Supreme Audit Chamber. Since 2022, he has served as a member of the Accounts Committee for Control over the Execution of the Republican Budget, and later as part of the Supreme Audit Chamber. In accordance with Article 81 of the Senate regulations, the Finance and Budget Committee proposes to terminate the powers and dismiss Rashit Akhmetov from his position in SAC," stated Senate Deputy Sultanbek Makezhanov.
