Maulen Ashimbayev emphasized that the level of relations between the Heads of State is of particular importance in strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and China, and experts are already assessing the dynamics of Kazakh-Chinese relations as a new "golden" period of development.
"As the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev notes, ‘we have built truly exemplary interstate relations, which are filled with new qualitative content from year to year.’ Close contacts have been established at all levels, economic cooperation is actively developing, and cultural and humanitarian ties are strengthening. Our countries also systematically interact within the framework of international organizations and jointly contribute to solving urgent global problems. The Heads of State show an example of friendly, trusting, and productive relations. Therefore, it is important for the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan to maintain and develop such relations. We believe that this will be facilitated by the current visit to China," the Chairman of the Senate said in his speech.
In turn, Wang Huning highly praised the level of Kazakh-Chinese relations and also noted the role of the Heads of China and Kazakhstan in activating mutually beneficial cooperation. The politician emphasized the special importance of the reforms carried out in Kazakhstan at the initiative of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, assuring that China intends to continue to actively develop cooperation with Kazakhstan both in a bilateral format and in the international arena, providing all-round practical support to efforts aimed at strengthening active dialogue.
The delegation of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan also met with the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China Zhao Leji. The parties exchanged views on the implementation of joint investment projects in the fields of industry, energy, transport, "green" economy, agriculture, and other areas of joint work.
Zhao Leji expressed his readiness to assist in the implementation of the tasks outlined by the Heads of the two states, and also highly appreciated the prospects for the implementation of joint projects, including within the framework of the "One Belt - One Road" initiative.
