Tengrinews.kz – Senate Speaker Maulen Ashimbayev called for unity and solidarity behind the Head of State's reform agenda to build a "Just Kazakhstan" during a Senate Bureau meeting today, according to the Senate's press service.
Ashimbayev noted that the new "people's Constitution" comes into force on July 1, with its primary objectives being the strengthening of statehood and the improvement of citizens' well-being.
"Under the initiative of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, large-scale transformations have been underway in our country in recent years. The adoption of the new Constitution has marked the beginning of a qualitatively new stage in Kazakhstan's development. The primary objective of this strategic course is to strengthen independence, protect statehood, and enhance the prosperity of our citizens. To realize these constitutional principles, we must ensure the systemic and purposeful continuation of reforms. Public unity and cohesion are the fundamental factors for success. At this fateful stage for our nation, the support and consolidation of all Kazakhstanis around the Head of State's political course is vital to building a 'Just Kazakhstan'," the Speaker of the chamber said.
The Senate Bureau also approved the agenda for the upcoming chamber session on June 11. Among the items to be considered is the Law "On Amnesty in Connection with the Adoption of the New Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan."
