Tengrinews.kz - Avalanches will be artificially triggered as a preventive measure in the East Kazakhstan Region. Due to this, a 20-kilometer section of the road will be closed for several hours, according to "KazAvtoZhol."

Traffic will be restricted for all types of vehicles.

"On December 24, 2024, at 10:00 AM in the East Kazakhstan Region, traffic restrictions for all types of vehicles will be introduced on the section of the Ust-Kamenogorsk – Altai – Ulken Naryn – Katon-Karagai – Rakhmanovskie Klyuchi highway, from kilometers 46 to 66, between the village of Severnoe and the town of Serebryansk," the statement said.

The section is planned to reopen for traffic at 2:00 PM on December 24.

KazAvtoZhol reminded drivers that additional information is available 24/7 by calling the hotline at 1403.
