Scorching heat and hail: storm warning issued in Astana and 16 regions

Zhetysu Region — brief showers and thunderstorms are expected in the south and mountainous regions during the day. Intense heat of 32-37°C will persist. Northeast winds in the east and mountain areas will gust to 15-20 m/s. High fire danger remains in the west and center. In Taldykorgan high fire danger persists. Due to forecasts of intense and extreme heat, high to extreme fire danger levels are expected across most of the region.

Karaganda Region — brief showers and thunderstorms are expected in the west, north, and east during the day. High fire danger persists in the south and east, while extreme fire danger remains in the west and north. In Karaganda, daytime temperatures will climb to a scorching 35°C.

Ulytau Region — brief showers and thunderstorms are expected in the north and east. Northwest winds will gust to 15 m/s in the north, south, and east. High fire danger remains throughout the region, including Zhezkazgan.

Aktobe region — light rain and thunderstorms are expected in the west and north. Northwest winds shifting to southwest will gust to 15-18 m/s in the east. High fire danger persists in the west, south, and east.

In Ust-Kamenogorsk daytime temperatures will reach 35°C. Extreme fire danger remains in effect.

High fire danger persists in the southwest and center, while extreme fire danger remains in the north and southeast. In Semey light rain and thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon. Atyrau Region — light rain and thunderstorms are expected in the north and east overnight. High fire danger remains in the west and southeast.

Kyzylorda Region — dust storms are expected in the north and center during the day. North and northwest winds will reach 15-20 m/s in these areas. Extreme heat of 37-43°C will persist, soaring to 45°C in the south. High to extreme fire danger is expected across most of the region due to the intense heat. In Kyzylorda extreme fire risk persists.

Mangistau Region — rain, thunderstorms, and dust storms are expected in the north during the day. Fog is forecast for the west overnight and in the morning. North winds shifting to southwest will gust to 15-20 m/s in the north. High fire danger persists in the north, east, and center. In Aktau, fog is expected at night and in the morning.

Kostanay Region — rain and thunderstorms are expected in the west, north, and south, with periods of heavy rain, hail, and squalls during the day. Fog is forecast for the west and north overnight and in the morning. Northeast winds will reach 15-20 m/s in the west, north, and south. High fire danger remains in the south and center. Daytime temperatures will reach a high of 35 degrees Celsius. High fire risk is expected in the northwest. In Petropavlovsk rain and thunderstorms are expected during the day.
