Tengrinews.kz - Traffic restrictions were introduced in Aktobe and Zhambyl regions due to bad weather.
According to QazAvtoZhol, from 4 PM on January 21 in the Zhambyl region, due to worsening weather (snow, blizzard, limited visibility), the movement of all types of transport on the Astana-Karaganda-Almaty highway on the section from the 2005th to the 2152nd kilometer (from the border of the Karaganda region to the village of Burylbaital) is restricted.
The estimated time of resumption of traffic is January 22 at 6 AM.
According to Polisia.kz, at 11:30 AM on January 21 in the Aktobe region on the Samara-Shymkent highway, due to a snowstorm and poor visibility, traffic restrictions were introduced for freight and passenger transport on the section from Aktobe to the border with the Kyzylorda region.

The police urge drivers to observe the speed limit and plan their route in advance, taking into account weather conditions and information about road closures.
In addition, a major traffic jam has formed in Astana due to the closed highway towards Karaganda. Cars of residents of the village of Zhibek Zholy, located 20 kilometers from Astana, have accumulated on the road.
