Tengrinews.kz - The work schedule for government institutions, enterprises, and social services has changed in Ridder.
Starting March 14, the workday for residents of Ridder in the East Kazakhstan region begins one hour earlier, from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with a lunch break from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM.
The city's akimat explained that this change aims to optimize work processes and improve efficiency, taking into account the region's climatic conditions.
"As of today, 11 districts in the East Kazakhstan region have already switched to the new work schedule, and we are happy to join this initiative. Changing the work schedule is a step towards a more convenient and productive daily routine. Now, residents have more energy since morning hours are used effectively, and daylight allows for more tasks to be completed without additional strain," said Ridder's Deputy Akim Bolat Akuzhanov.
He noted that these changes would benefit both working individuals and their families.
The changes will not affect schools, kindergartens, or medical institutions, as they have already been operating from 08:00.
"This is truly a convenient schedule, especially for women with children. Now we can pick up our kids from kindergarten or school without rushing, without worrying about asking for time off or finding someone to help. Moreover, this schedule allows for more time to handle household chores. We were already waking up early, dropping off our children, and then wasting time before the workday started at 9 AM. Now, this hour will be used productively, and since the daylight hours are getting longer, we can get things done in natural light, which is also a big advantage," said Ridder resident Nazgul Untabaeva.
According to Ridder's Deputy Akim Bolat Akuzhanov, several meetings were held with residents before the decision to switch to the new work schedule was made, and the issue was thoroughly discussed.
"The city's residents supported this initiative. I believe the new work schedule will improve time management and allow for a better balance between work and personal life," noted the Deputy Akim of Ridder.
It should be noted that on January 5, 17 villages in the Katon-Karagai district of East Kazakhstan switched to their own work schedule. On February 24, residents of the Markakol and Ulken Naryn districts followed, and on March 5, the Zaisan, Kurchum, Tarbagatai, and Samar districts also adopted the new schedule. On March 12, the Altai and Ulan districts joined. In all these districts, the workday now starts at 8:00 AM and lasts until 5:30 PM, with a lunch break from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM.
As of now, the issue of transitioning to the new work schedule in Ust-Kamenogorsk remains unresolved.
