Residents of Almaty and the region warned of power outages

Tengrinews.kz – Alatau Zharyk Company has announced possible power outages in Almaty and the Almaty region due to scheduled maintenance work.

According to the company’s press service, these temporary electricity interruptions are part of planned repairs aimed at preventing accidents and ensuring stable power supply.

“The work is being carried out in stages: one day at certain addresses, and on subsequent days in other areas of the city and region. The main goal is to prevent emergency situations, maintain stable operation of network equipment, and improve the safety of electricity supply,” the company said.

The maintenance schedule is published in advance on the company’s official website so consumers can be informed ahead of time.

As part of these works, specialists are performing:

• cleaning and partial replacement of power grid components,
• trimming of trees and bushes that pose a risk to power lines,
• fixing defects that hinder normal equipment operation.

“Planned maintenance is carried out Monday through Friday during business hours — until 5:00 PM. The duration of outages depends on the volume and complexity of work. In some cases, short-term power interruptions may occur if it’s not possible to switch consumers to a backup power source,” the statement reads.
