Tengrinews.kz – The world-famous eagle huntress Aisholpan Nurgaiypkyzy has gotten married, as she announced on her Instagram. The news of the celebration quickly spread across social media, attracting great interest from her fans.
The world learned about the young eagle huntress, an ethnic Kazakh from Mongolia, after Aisholpan Nurgaiypkyzy won a major eagle-hunting competition. At just 13 years old, she became the youngest participant and took first place among 79 experienced hunters.
This victory brought her wide coverage in foreign media. Her story inspired the creators of the documentary The Eagle Huntress, produced by actress Daisy Ridley. The film received international recognition, was shown in 30 countries, and made the Oscar shortlist.
Aisholpan’s global fame grew even more after the release of the music video for Angel by the Wings, a song written by Australian singer Sia specifically for the film. Aisholpan herself appeared in the video, making her recognizable far beyond Central Asia.
In 2024, Aisholpan moved to Kazakhstan with her family. The eagle huntress’s marriage is described as a symbolic conclusion of one chapter and the beginning of another, no less eventful one — the creation of her own family.
