According to Zhetybayev, the remains were discovered during search operations and have been sent for examination.

"As of today, we have not yet received the results of the examination. As soon as the Korean side provides the information, the relatives will be notified," Zhetybayev said.

What happened

On February 1, a major fire broke out at a factory in South Korea. As a result of the incident, two foreign workers were reported missing. According to some media reports, one of them was a 50-year-old citizen of Kazakhstan.

At the time of the fire, 83 employees were at the facility, 81 of whom managed to evacuate.
