Tengrinews.kz - Visitors to Burabay National Park captured a rare sighting of a lynx on video.
The footage, shared on the national park's official Instagram page, showcases the elusive predator in its natural habitat.
"Encountering this elegant and captivating predator in winter is a rarity. The lynx's light fur allows it to blend seamlessly with the snowy forest. Known as solitary animals, lynxes mark their territory and adapt to snowy conditions with dense fur on their paws to protect the pads from cold. To conserve energy, they often use roads and clearings. During winter, their diet primarily consists of mammals, ranging from roe deer to voles, with a preference for hares," the park's post explained.
